About Dr. Stacie Morris: Stacie earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Duke University in May, 2015. Prior to Duke, Stacie received her B.S. in Exercise Science from Illinois State University where she was a NCAA student-athlete, earning several honors in gymnastics. As a former collegiate gymnast, and current Olympic Weightlifter, Stacie has had her fair share of orthopedic injuries/ surgeries and understands how detrimental an injury can be for an athlete at any level. Stacie has a special interest in the treatment of sports injuries, various orthopedic conditions, and incorporating manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education and sports performance enhancement into her treatment plans. In her spare time, Stacie tries to stay as active as possible and has competed in Powerlifting, Bodybuilding and most currently is pursuing her passion for Olympic Weightlifting. Stacie currently works with athlete’s and patients of all ages, levels and from many different sports but she has a special interest in gymnastics and dancers. Stacie takes an active role in treatment plans and spends a lot of time analyzing movement patterns, identifying deficits then working one-on-one with her patients to improve body mechanics with different movements to not only FIX the current problem, but to also PREVENT further compensations and degeneration on the body.
