Too many classical musicians go through the difficult and demanding grind of music school or years of lessons, and find out: "hmm, this isn't what I thought it was going to be like," or think: "why didn't anyone talk about what being a musician was really like?" Well, that's why we're here. The term Per Service is typically how we judge how good a gig is..because we'd say a gig pays...$95 per service (where each rehearsal or concert is a service). But money doesn't have to be the only way to measure how good a gig is. It could be worthwhile because of the conductor is awesome, or which colleagues you get to work with, or because there's a great BBQ joint across the street from the hall, or for many other reasons that don't get counted for in just the rate per service. We're four musicians who want to talk openly about what it's really like, and invite you to join in the conversation too at www.perservice.co
