Shaykh Husain Ahmad Madani: A Brief Biography

Shaykh Husain Ahmed Madani (6 October 1879 – 1957) was an Islamic scholar from the Indian subcontinent. His followers called him Shaykh al-Islam, Shaykh al-Arab wa ’l-’Ajam to acknowledge his expertise in hadith, fiqh, and his political struggle. This lecture is a brief biography of this great scholar and freedom fighter and some reflections about his famous co-existence thesis elucidated in his book "Composite Nationalism and Islam"
