Women Behind the Curtain: Nur Jahan

Nur Jahan (1577-1645) was the Empress of Mughal India. Although her husband Jahangir was technically emperor, Nur Jahan is widely seen as the true power behind the throne. She was the only female ruler in the history of the Mughal Empire.
