What lessons can we learn from the animal kingdom about diseases - and specifically COVID19?  In this episode, Paraveterinarian and Medic, Rudie Van Vuuren joins WEM Education Lead Will Duffin to discuss the importance of ‘One Medicine’ in tackling, and preventing disease.  Rudie discusses his work as part of the Na’ankuse Foundation, his appreciation of nature and the impact of climate change that perhaps isn’t felt in the same way across European cities.  Rudie also considers, alongside Will, and the potential impact of COVID on Namibia, considering the cultural differences, as well as the more universal issues we all face, such as the lack of PPE and ventilators. The pair also consider the recurring exploitation of wildlife and the correlation with the history of pandemics, and whether COVID is the prompt we need to challenge our current relationship with, and treatment of the world around us. Listen, watch and let us know your thoughts!      Na'ankuse Foundation > https://naankuse.com  WEM Conservation Course > https://bit.ly/2xYeVFN
