Mike Tipton and Grant Walkey - Saving Lives in Water

This week on WEMcast, we revisit one of the most popular talks from WEM19, as Mike Tipton and Grant Walkey discuss current research and real-world practise into better 'Saving Lives in Water'. Mike begins by outlining the physiological pathways that produce an immersion casualty - patients who could be drowning, hypothermic, in cardiac arrest, or even all of the above.  After this, Grant discusses the real world application of these ideas and research in his work as part of the RNLI.
