Wellington's Summer could soon be plagued by water restrictions. Wellington Water says the capital is losing 27 Olympic swimming pools worth of water every day through leaks, estimating 40 percent is wasted. Laurence Edwards, Chief Drinking Water Advisor at Wellington Water, says they're trying to get on top of the five-thousand leaks before restrictions come into play. He says over the last two months, they've repaired one-thousand-300-and-41 leaks, and says they'll continue to work as hard as they possibly can.
