Roger Calkin: Wellington's waterfront isn't a safe area for anyone
Wellington Mornings with Nick Mills - Ein Podcast von Newstalk ZB

The father of a man who died falling into the Wellington waterfront is calling for the area to be made safer. 30 year old Sandy Calkin died last year after he fell into Wellington Harbour. Now his dad's calling for more safety protections to be implemented, to prevent this from happening again. Roger Calkin says the area is full of trip hazards right by the water. He says in any other setting, things around the waterfront would be considered hazards and would need to be urgently dealt with. The Wellington City Council says safety improvements are ongoing, including extra lighting and more life-rings, they're also considering adding 'unobstructive fencing'.
