Ep. 35: Leaving the city...for Good

On the season finale of "Uncle, Please Sit!", Joel and Tushar talk to a couple who left the city for greener pastures. Literally. Vahishta Mistry was a senior media and startup executive and Neha Sumitran was the web editor of National Geographic Traveller India Magazine. Almost two years ago they moved out of Mumbai in their search for a more sustainable, rural life. Having picked up a few skills while working at farms across the country, they finally settled in a village near Kodaikanal to set up their own home. The couple shares their experience of what it was like to go from being urban city slickers to rural residents, what was their motivation behind the move, how they planned it, and how it has changed their lives.
