UCL student mentors at the UCL Academy

On 23 January 2014, a group of UCL undergraduates and postgraduates met with sixth-form students at the UCL Academy – a non-selective, mixed state school in Swiss Cottage, which is sponsored by UCL. The meeting is the first step in a new mentoring scheme that pairs academy students with UCL students who share similar academic interests, so that they gain an insight into all aspects of university life. The mentors and mentees communicate each week through a secure online platform provided by educational charity the Brightside Trust and will have a face-to-face meeting each month.
