Date: 6 February 2020 Speaker: Julia Bailey is a Senior Researcher at the UCL eHealth Unit About the lecture: Unplanned pregnancy is very common, and control of fertility is vital in the fight against poverty, ill-health and climate change. Mobile technology has extraordinary world-wide reach, and can be an important tool for informed decision-making. Choosing and using contraception is difficult, and is influenced by knowledge, beliefs, partner and peer views, social expectations, and health care personnel. This talk will explore women’s views and experiences of contraception, and the potential of digital health in promoting informed choice, showcasing the Contraception Choices website, which was designed at UCL in collaboration with young women: www.contraceptionchoices.org.
