Dr Bob Mills: intro to LGBTQ Histories at UCL

Scheduled to coincide with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans History Month, this event celebrates UCL’s rich and varied LGBTQ histories. The event includes short talks on some of UCL's particularly celebrated alumni. It will also be an opportunity to discuss some of challenges we face when trying to ‘reclaim’ or ‘out’ figures from past who may not have understood themselves in terms of categories such as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer. With contributions from Bob Mills (History of Art Department, UCL), Alex Parsons (English Department, UCL), and Jeffrey Weeks (Emeritus Professor, London South Bank).
