Dr. Siouxsie Wiles
British-born microbiologist Dr. Siouxsie Wiles has just been awarded the title ‘New Zealander of The Year’; recognition of the key role she has played in tackling the Covid crisis in that country. Alongside her role as head of the Bioluminescent Superbugs Lab in Auckland - she has earned the nickname ‘The Covid Lady’ for her clear and important daily communications of how the virus should be tackled. In this episode, she shares her journey from Hull to Auckland and some magical places along the way.
