Starting in graduate school, he realized that many kids not respond well to the usual “reward and punishment” style of behavior management. So he created a new approach based in research. The Collaborative and Proactive Solutions model has proven so helpful to many of my clients and my own kids, so I was thrilled to have Dr. Greene sit down and talk with me today. Some things we cover include: * What is CPS?* How is it different than traditional Parent Management Training?* Who can benefit from CPS?* What’s the research behind CPS?* How can neuropsych assessment integrate with CPS?* Bonus: an update on Dr. Greene’s recently-released documentary Cool Things Mentioned in This Episode * Dr. Ross Greene’s website* Lives in the Balance* The Kids We Lose* Dr. Greene’s books* Lost At School (affiliate link)* Treating Explosive Kids (affiliate link)* The Explosive Child (affiliate link)* Raising Human Beings (affiliate link) About Dr. Ross Greene Ross W.
