She is currently completing her doctorate at Northumbria University. Her research pertains to the transformative power of art, freedom of expression, twentieth-century female artists, and the role of the regional art gallery. Alongside her research, she is also a curator and works as the Arts Officer for the Free Speech Union, with several articles published in a variety of outlets.
