She has been honored by awards and nominations ranging from National Book Award and [National Jewish Book Award to the Sydney Taylor Book Award, and also illustrates picture books for the younger set. In her books and speeches, Vesper aims to cultivate a rehumanized worldview through artistic thinking. She lives in the Northeast with her husband, filmmaker Ben Stamper, and teaches illustration at School of Visual Arts in New York.
