Ep. 8 - Tim Friede (Human based Snake Antivenom man)
Tim Friede has allowed himself to be bitten hundreds of times by snakes so venomous they could kill an elephant. These include Taipans, Monocled cobras and Black Mambas to name just a few. Tim is one of the co-founders of Mithros Bioscience - a company which is using Tim's own body's antibodies to create a human based antivenin. Tim and his partners aim to use this antivenom to help thousands of people - many in poverty stricken areas of the world. These people are forgotten by big Pharma as they can't pay large fees for antivenin drugs.
