Michael Amato has served as Creative Director of The Urban Electric Co. The Urban Electric Co. is a luxury lighting brand made by hand in Charleston, SC. Known for their innovative company culture and commitment to reviving American craft, their classic designs are found everywhere from famous restaurants, hotels and nightclubs to celebrity homes. They have recently opened their first international outpost in London where Creative Director Michael Amato resides. Prior to joining The Urban Electric Co., Michael had a long and fruitful career in retail merchandising and interior design. The brand has recently expanded their headquarters in Charleston to add an additional 40,000 square feet and has opened their first showroom in Charleston and has launched their second volume of their printed book The Current, which pays tribute to the destinations and the perspectives that guide the company forward.
