With the election in the U.S. coming up, I figured it would be a great time to talk about kindness, about hearing and listening to others, and celebrating our experiences together instead of fighting each other on our ideas of right or wrong. How well do we listen to others? I know many times I didn't listen to another word someone else was speaking just waiting my turn to say something, waiting my turn to say my zinger, waiting my turn to prove how smart I was. I always liked this quote-"when you speak you are only repeating what you already know, but when you listen you are learning something new."
