Introducing 'The Squid of Despair' Podcast

Squid, any of more than 300 species of 10-armed cephalopods can be found in both coastal and oceanic waters. Squids have elongated tubular bodies and short compact heads. Two of the 10 arms have developed into long slender tentacles with expanded ends and four rows of suckers with toothed, horny rings. The body of most squids is strengthened by a feathery-shaped internal shell composed of a horny material. Squid eyes, almost as complex as human eyes, are usually set into the sides of the head. The smallest squid is the Southern pygmy squid males grow only to about 1.6 cm in length. The largest squids—giant squids and colossal squids—are also the largest living invertebrates. The largest recovered giant squids have measured nearly 13 metres) long, but there are unconfirmed reports of individuals more than 20 metres in length. All of which has absolutely nothing to do with this podcast – The Squid of DespairThis podcast, with myself, Peter Taylor and my good friend and mentor, David Ayling-Smith, is a series of unscripted musings on business life, leadership, creativity, transformation and all the myriad of other work-life events that get in the way of a good night’s sleepAnd we kick the whole thing off on 25th February 2022 – so bookmark this place or watch for us on your favourite podcast site.

Om Podcasten

Unscripted musings on business life, leadership, creativity, transformation and all the myriad of other work-life events that get in the way of a good night's sleep. The Squid of Despair is a conceptual summation of what can go wrong, and often does, with mind-mapping or other creative techniques. Born out of an idea for a book back in 2010, David and Peter have now made this mythical beast rise once again, phoenix like (from under the ocean waves, so a bit soggy probably), to explore all matters relating to 'business life, leadership, creativity, transformation and all the myriad of other work-life events that get in the way of a good night’s sleep' in the form of an unusual podcast
