Spiros Velentzas was a Greek who emigrated to the US in the late 1940's. He would eventually settle in Astoria, a very Greek area of Queens. He would find his way into criminality and then work as a driver for the local old school Greek boss. He would eventually take over the generous rackets in the Greek community through the backing of the Lucchese Crime Family. He is also known for very much upsetting John Gotti!
