Tony Coton - "How I brought van der Sar to Old Trafford"

Current Manchester United Scout and former club goalkeeper Tony Coton joins the UTD Podcast this week. TC shared some great stories from his spells at Birmingham City and Watford - including a pre-season tour with Elton John! We breezed through his time at Manchester City to get to his stories of working with Sir Alex Ferguson as his goalkeeper and, later, as the club's first full-time goalkeeping coach. Tony worked with Peter Schmeichel before being tasked with finding his replacement. That eventually led to the arrival of Edwin van der Sar from Fulham and we heard all about how that transfer came about, climaxing in the Dutchman's heroics in Moscow to lift the 2008 Champions League trophy. Helen, Sam and Maysie also read out your emails at the end of the episode.
