Who’s on your dream team? The Coffee Run #551 I used to feel like it was all on me. Like I had to be all things to all people. Not just at work, actually, but also in the business. I used to feel like it would reflect badly on me if I didn’t know how to do every single thing in my business. And so, I would do every single thing. For a long time! There were some things that I outsourced after the first couple of years, like book keeping which I hired my Mum to do … and I hired my Dad to be sales person for a couple of years. But I felt like I was, well, alone outside of that. I eventually learned, after a couple of cycles of intense burnout that I could do this in a better way! That I could, in fact, still be good at what I did as well as have a great team around me. What I worked out, was that there are 7 main categories that I needed filled, in order for me to feel like I had support, that I had freedom and that I had people around me who had ‘my back’. 1. Who is your inspiration 2. Who is your sounding board? 3. who are your cheerleaders? 4. who is affirming you? 5. who do you confide in? 6. who’s helping you with all the shit you hate? 7. who are your hot coal clients…because they’re going to be around you ALL the time, so you may as well like them! I went through these in a lot more detail on today’s Coffee Run. I hope you enjoy the replay PLUS… did you see this yet?
