Episode 09: Buck Starts Here

In the ninth episode of The Jukebox Graduate Dave and Eugene get caught up on a few things. Eugene talks about the Greater Bakersfield show on SiriusXM and the Bakersfield sound in general. Then we hear a little about the LSD tour that began this summer. After a brief discussion of sidemen musicians we hear music from the Mastersons and Brad Sample. Dave talks about attending a live podcast taping with Keith Morris which gets the guys talking about the recently departed Steve Soto. Dave also alerts us to an odd ice cream truck in his area before we hear new music from Greg Felden. The guys then mention more new releases that have them excited at the moment. And finally the lads wrap it up with a discussion about Cowboy Junkies before hearing a cut from their new album, All That Reckoning. In this episode we hear from Lake Street Dive, Leon Bridges, the Mastersons, Brad Sample, Underworld (featuring Iggy Pop), Greg Felden, and Cowboy Junkies. Om Podcasten

Do you study album credits? Do you sit in your driveway waiting to hear the rest of a good song? Get annoyed when someone refers to "Baba O'Riley" as "Teenage Wasteland?" You may want to listen to the monthly Jukebox Graduate podcast that longtime friends Eugene Edwards (Dwight Yoakam) and Dave Rayburn co-host. It will be two friends talking about music with guests and an attempt to share our discoveries and experiences. Sometimes music helps us understand our world, sometimes ourselves. This show is about that and much more. We will also listen to and discuss new releases that excite us! And, don't be surprised when we break into a spontaneous conversation on Bruce Springsteen. It's in our DNA. With that said... please join us!
