Episode 13 - Ingredients of an Apology: Valuing Relationships

The Hopeful Humanist Cafe - Ein Podcast von Hopeful Humanist

As relationship is paramount to happiness, one should not overlook the importance of developing the skill of offering a sincere apology to heal any relationship fractures that inevitably unfold in life as we are imperfect souls and sometimes put our foot in our mouth. A great quote to orient this discussion comes from Benjamin Franklin --- "Never give an apology with an excuse" as it rings hollow.  In this episode, I showcase two Ted Talks; the first by Robert M. Gordon called "The power of apology," and the second by Jennifer Thomas called "Getting the last word with apology."  Check them out in addition to a number of additional links that might be worth putting in your spiritual toolbox.
