I'm yet to find the "perfect" team (mine included). Some have come close, but there is always at least one team member who always seems to have the wrong attitude. They never seem, excited or inspired to be in the salon. Not that you're thinking of firing them, but you just wish that each day didn't seem like such a challenge. Some of you may be reading this and thinking, thats HALF of my team! This wouldn't surprise me either, we have had a thoroughly crap 2 years in the salon world and even the most passionate stylist is bound to feel deflated So what can we do about it? How can we reconnect, reinvigorate and create the SHIFT that gets them fired-up and back on track? The first thing I want to say is you are not on your own! The reason I decided to talk about this specific topic is because of the amount of times I've had this conversation with salon owners all over the world recently. Secondly, every team in every industry needs to be "re-fired-up" at least a couple of times a year it's just usually not this close to the excitement of New Year.
