Jamie Dimon Denies Knowing About Jeffrey Epstein But Apologizes Anyway

In sworn deposition testimony in May 2023, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon claimed he had no knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein or his activities until Epstein’s 2019 arrest. He denied ever meeting or speaking with Epstein and said any suggestions otherwise were based on misunderstandings. Dimon characterized Epstein as a “disaster” and said he was horrified by the revelations of trafficking and abuse, emphasizing that decisions regarding Epstein’s client relationship were handled by other executives at the bank.
