Jay Andres: Creating a Positive Company Culture

In this episode of the Drop in CEO podcast, Jay Andres, former CEO of Mai Dubai Bottled Water shares his leadership journey and his book, "The Manager's Bathroom Book." Andres recounts his rise from a relief route person in Los Angeles to becoming the first employee and CEO of Mai Dubai, where he and his team built a successful factory and business. He shares challenges he faced, such as initially insufficient funding and the need to differentiate in a crowded market. The episode delves into leadership insights, the significance of trust, and the impact of success on individuals.   Jay Andres is the former CEO of Mai Dubai Bottled Water in the United Arab Emirates. He was Mai Dubai’s first employee. Within 6 years Jay and his team built a factory and business that is doing over $100 million in annual revenue. Jay was there for the onboarding of over 1,000 employees within 6 years. Under his leadership, a factory of 50,000 square feet was built and then expanded to over 420,000 square feet. The foundation was built and the company has continued to thrive to this day. Jay continues to serve on the Board of Directors. Prior to Dubai, he worked in the Bottled Water Industry in the United States for 31 years. His assignments took him to progressively more challenging roles, throughout most of the Western States.
