Episode #16 - 1997-2020. F1 World Champions to F1 Survival! The story of William's decline...

The DNF1 - F1 Podcast - Ein Podcast von DNF1

Hi Everyone!!!As the beginning of the Formula One season is only a few weeks away, we decided to dedicate this week's episode to a story that's been almost a quarter of a century in the making. The story of the Williams team is legendary as the most successful independent (Non manufacturer) team in Formula One. However, it has been 23 years since it's last world championship back in 1997 with Jacques Villeneuve at the wheel. Following a decade of dominance in the 1990's Williams had gone on a declining path none could have foreseen.Courtney and I tell the story of William's fall from Formula One World Champions to Formula One survival. In the midst of their plight to acquire new investment to survive in Formula One, we talk about what contributing factors took place to write this tale, and discuss perhaps what could have been if certain events had not occurred or decisions went a more favourable path with hindsight. We also finish the episode with reasons why we think the future could be bright for the Williams team to potentially return on a path towards reliving the golden days of the 1990's once again, if it can successfully secure the required investment. As always, thank you all for supporting us, and please continue to do so.
