#156 - What to Watch in April

You know what’s worse than wasting your entire TV-watching window by clicking and scrolling and searching for the exact right thing to watch? Nothing! Nothing is worse than that!   So let me help you. April is bringing us DOZENS of returning series, new series, movies, documentaries, and comedy shows. It’s too much—and that’s why I’m here to help you navigate this mess. You can find dates and locations of everything you might want to watch in the April Watch Guide, a free resource for all Patreon members (ahem, that’s marycarver.com/patreon). But today I’m making sure you know about three returning series, a moving series, four options for kids, five new series, four documentaries and comedy specials, and three (count ‘em, THREE!) new romantic comedy movies.   Of course, even when it’s just me on The Couch, I welcome rabbit trails and side notes. (Obviously. Because when it’s just me, they’re all MY rabbit trails and side notes. Duh.) So get ready to hear more about a TV show I’m still obsessed with, a book I loved and read in one day, and the supermodel I’m told I look like. Or, was once told. Four decades ago. Whatever, it’s fine.   Get ready to make plans for what you’re going to watch this month. It’s time to get started!   MENTIONED IN THE SHOW: ·      The Couch Facebook group ·      The Couch on Patreon     Welcome to The Couch!

Do you love Hallmark movies, cozy mysteries, and 80s music? How about children's books, romantic comedies, or a good Netflix binge? This is the place for you! The Couch is a place for cozy conversations about pop culture and why it matters. Host Mary Carver is a writer known for finding Truth in unexpected places (and telling you the TV show you absolutely must watch next), and in every episode of The Couch, she's chatting about all the things we love (or don't), why we love it (or don't), and why it matters (it always matters).
