TRL 123: Crypto 101 Down the Rabbit Hole with Gerbz

Over the last year and a half I've become very interested in crypto, the technology that makes it work, and the impacts that it has on our economy, business, and life as digital citizens. However, I am far from an expert on the subject, as I've said before I know just enough to be dangerous. So, I decided to talk with an actual expert on the subject and that is my guest today who you may know on the internet as Gerbz. Gerbz has been very active in the crypto space for many years and is the man behind the fantastic crypto site Bitlift which aims to be an educational resource for people interested in Crypto. His article The Bitcoin Rabbit Hole was the first explanation I read about crypto when I became interested in the subject and is perhaps one of the best places to learn about it in layman's terms. During this interview, Gerbz and I went down the rabbit hole again and discussed the basics of money and why Bitcoin is so superior when compared to the other currencies of the world, what exactly is a blockchain, and why the technology is such a groundbreaking advancement that many people compare to the invention of the internet, and everything else you need to know as a beginner about the difference between bitcoin, ethereum, and the rest of the many many cryptocurrencies that have popped up over the last few years.
