Sixteen farmers in the Derwent Valley who irrigate from Meadowbank Lake will be out of pocket around one million dollars due to dam maintenance, but Hydro says it will offer farmers around $400 thousand worth of support during a dam draw down and a further $700 thousand in maintenance costs.
