The Abalone Council in Tasmania has voted for a cut of 19 per cent in the total allowable catch for next year after rejecting a 36 per cent cut , and quota holder Darvin Hansen who called for the larger cut in the catch has called on the State Government to intervene and ensure the the abalone stocks can fully recover.
