Robin Emblem on transitioning from a career in recruitment to Salesforce Solution Architect

In today's episode we're thrilled to be joined by Robin Emblem, a Salesforce Solution Architect based in London in the UK.    Robin has a really interesting background having previously worked in the Salesforce ecosystem in New Zealand for a time, and additionally coming from a non-technical background.   Robin previously held a successful career in recruitment, and having only joined the Salesforce ecosystem in the last few years, he has worked his way into positions of heightened responsibility quickly. He has previously performed roles as a Salesforce Admin, Functional Consultant and now Solution Architect, and shares with us how he has made the progression each time.   We discuss his transferable skills, a chance encounter which set him on the right track and how and why he has been given the opportunities that he has been.   Having made a lot of his career progress throughout the COVID period, we chat about remote work, how it has impacted how he most likes to work and the differences between the UK and the New Zealand Salesforce market.   Finally we touch on Robin's goals for the future, and what excites him the most about what's to come.   This episode could be particularly relevant for those listening who don't come from a technical background, or who are interested in how to move from a Functional Consultant role into that of a Solution Architect.   Make sure you're following Robin on LinkedIn for his updates and we hope you enjoy the chat!
