The Power of Silence

Abraham Lincoln said "Better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt".  If you're an American you have a constitutional guarantee in the First Amendment of the Constitution to free speech.  However, just because you can doesn't always mean you should.  In today's world we see relationships and careers destroyed everyday by what people say.  Words taken out of context or twisted in ways never intended by the speaker.  Even when someone is right in what they say, their words can be used to destroy them.  Learning when and when not to remain silent is an important modern skill.  In this week's episode we'll consider the reasons to speak and the reasons to remain silent.
