One of the most important skills you can develop in yourself is the ability to recognize red flags.  What's a red flag?  A red flag is a warning sign.  It's an identifier that something is wrong, or is a danger.  A red flag may be something you can easily identify and define, or it may be more subtle, like a gut instinct.    In this episode we'll explore the world of red flags.  Just recognizing red flags isn't enough however.  You must also learn to take appropriate action.  That action can range from avoiding the issue, to laying the groundwork to lessen it's impact. Red flags all around you every day.  It's easy to miss an important red flag, especially if you're not on alert.  After the fact, you may be completely surprised that you missed all the obvious warning signs.  The problem is, the damage has already been done.  You're now forced to deal with the consequences knowing that if you'd been more alert you could have avoided the situation altogether. Developing this skill takes self-awareness and discipline.  Take some time to think about the red flags you've missed in your life.  What did you learn from it?  More importantly, did you learn anything from it?  That's the difference between success and failure in life.
