It's So Random

In the opening of the western movie Appaloosa there's a line I really like.  It goes like this..."Life has a way of making the foreseeable that which never happens, and the unforeseeable that which your life becomes."   Not matter how much you plan and maneuver in your life, you always have to take into account the reality of randomness.  Everything in your life may be going as planned; and then, all of a sudden, something completely random and unexpected happens.  A car accident, a criminal act, a disease, a death, an ENP, a sudden economic crash, some crazy person bent on killing people and you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. All kinds of things happen in our lives that we may know could happen, but don't expect to happen.  Consider your life right now.  Are you where you expected to be at this point?  What random events have influenced a change in the course of your life?
