What do you do when your entire life's work gets deleted from the internet? Koby 'Posty' Hagan founded GRM Daily while studying law at university in 2009, and it went on to become the most successful youth platform in the UK, hosting thousands of rap and grime videos from a generation of black British talent and playing a part in the careers of everyone from Giggs to Stormzy. But in 2011, YouTube deleted the channel, losing 2,000 pieces of archive content – content Posty has never seen again. Here on Straight Up, Posty talks about how he coped during one of the most testing times in his career, building the channel back up again to what it is today, as well as launching everything from the RATED Awards to his record label, and, partnering with YouTube again for his new documentary about GRM Daily's come-up, Together We Rise. He also chats to Kathleen and Eleanor how GRM Daily runs day-to-day, the real reason Wiley isn't in the documentary, which stars he knew were going to blow up after seeing their first videos, and his tips and secrets for a successful business.
