Ep 26 Kate Gazzard - Motivating local change

Kate Gazzard is a paediatric doctor, who is passionate about addressing the climate crisis to protect the people she works with — our next generation. Along with the day in and day out work she is contributing to the young people in her immediate community Kate is also using her time and energy to create change through the medium of politics on a local level.   Kate passionately advocates for preventative healthcare, social justice and environmental protection. A conversation teaching us a great deal more about political change on a local level and life on the front line of the COVID-19 situation we currently face in Melbourne and it’s impact on our younger generation.   And Remember: ‘The cure for depression is action. Every one of us has to step up and do what you can, according to what your resources are.’-Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia   We invite you to join us in paying respect to the people and other beings everywhere who keep the law of the land. We acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional and rightful custodians of all the places where this podcast is created and listened to. And we pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging. #StokelyPodcast Links for Kate: greens.org.au/vic/person/kate-gazzard facebook.com/Kate-Gazzard
