Ep 17 Tyson Yunkaporta

As we entered into another 6-week stint of heightened restrictions on our physical movements in Melbourne, we called upon Tyson Yunkaporta, for a yarn.  Tyson is a senior lecturer of Indigenous Knowledge at Deakin University in Melbourne and the author of an incredibly potent book titled Sand Talk. I hope you enjoy this vast-ranging conversation as we freeze a fragment of knowledge in time.    We invite you to join us in paying respect to the people and other beings everywhere who keep the law of the land. We acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional and rightful custodians of all the places where this podcast is created and listened to. And we pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging. We’d like to make a special acknowledgement of the Apalech Clan from Western Cape York in far north Queensland. A Clan Tyson calls home.   Links for Tyson Deakin Profile - Profile Linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/tyson-yunkaporta-04a9b969/ Sand Talk - https://www.textpublishing.com.au/books/sand-talk Text Publishing Video - Sand Talk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PZMGYPqs0Q   Dream Walk meditation (30 minutes) guided by Tyson: Meditation Link
