Ep. 20 FRESH FRUITS FOR ROTTEN VEGETABLES by DEAD KENNEDYS w/ Michael Bingham (of Spiritual Cramp)
SPINNING OUT PODCAST - Ein Podcast von Josh Robbins

Spinning Out (another music podcast) We talk to artists about their favorite albums and go on wild tangents. This week's guest is musician, Michael Bingham. Today we are talking about "Fresh Fruit For Rotten Vegetables" by Dead Kennedys (1980). We talk about how unique this record is to this day, do younger people still view DK as a band, or is it a boomer symbol of punk. We argue that it is still relevant today. We also discuss court cases and mixing friendships and business relationships. Important to note: We had this conversation before 12/6, so we make no mention of the capitol storming, and so by extension make no mention of DK's embarrassing tweet praising Mitt Romney. Also worth nothing, Jello hasn't been in DK since 1986, so his view's don't reflect the current state of the band. Michael Bingham is a member of the band Spiritual Cramp, as well as Spice. He previously played in Creative Adult and has been a fixture in the Bay Area scene for a number of years.
