Leanne Pero is an entrepreneur, model, former dancer, author, mentor, and breast cancer survivor.She started her dance company, The Movement Factory, when she was just 15 and went on to become the first community ambassador for iconic dance studio Pineapple.After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, Leanne founded Black Women Rising, an initiative that provides support for black women dealing with their diagnosis, and raises awareness about cancer in BAME communities.On this episode of Sound Advice: Entrepreneurs Unfiltered, Leanne shares how her journey as a survivor has shaped her as a founder, and how she’s using her experience as a force for good.
