79. Things You Should Know In Starting A Business with Hunny Hach

Hunny is a second-generation Cambodian-American who was born in San Diego, California and raised in Long Beach. She is a local artist and active member of the Cambodian community, DJ-ing at many venues from Hollywood in LA to Orange County to Cambodia. She is the creator and co-founder of Qhmer, a Khmer LGBTQ+ organization to promote positive representation of LGBTQ+ Khmers in both the Cambodian and queer community. She recently joined the United Cambodian Community as a program coordinator for their youth workforce development program. Hunny has an unrelenting passion for community work, having been involved with Project Angkor, Cambodia Town Film Festival, Cambodian Youth Institute, Hearts Without Boundaries, Cambodian Music Festival, Khmer Alumni Association, and United Cambodian Community. Her humble attitude, versatile personality and skills enable her to take on roles and responsibilities based on the needs of the organization’s and community’s needs.   “I was really hesitant but at the same time, I'm always nervous about things, because I feel like there's so many roles that I carry, and so many hats that I wear."   The following golden nuggets that something business owners who are just starting out should know:  Be patient with yourself.
