How to Wrap Up a Rough Year and Make 2021 Your Best Year Ever

Self-Care for Extremely Busy Women - Ein Podcast von Suzanne Falter

I begin today’s show by reading part of the first chapter of my book, The Extremely Busy Women’s Guide to Self-Care. Because this is where I really lay out the experiences that formed the foundation of my self-care work. I offer them to you with the express idea that you don’t have to wait for a crisis to begin your own deep dive into self-care. In this show, I also focus on my end-of-year rituals. I’ve done these for many, many years, because I’ve found it useful to really take stock of exactly what was created… and how the result was. I also take note of my self-care, and notice where the gaps are. We are culturally conditioned to think such activities are selfish. But I say they’re necessary. You’ll learn some useful questions to ask yourself, and the basics of an end of year assessment. Then you’ll be able to take what you learned forward towards building an amazing 2020. Journal on these questions: What was the most fulfilling? What was the most fun? What was the most frightening? What did you learn? What did you learn about yourself? What can you do moving forward to build on that? Who would you like to be in the coming year? How would you rate your self-care in 2020? Is your life as it is enough? What self-care could you add? How could you change your self-care? When could you make time for this self-care (for real) Happy Holidays wherever you are. I’m so glad you’re on this ride with me!
