091 NopSec Analyzes the NVD for Their Annual Risk and Vulnerability Report

Each year, security firm NopSec publishes their annual State of Vulnerability Risk Management Report, analyzing all of the vulnerabilities listed in the National Vulnerability Database, the NVD, along with those uploaded to their own platform by their clients. They consider a number of factors, including CVSS score, description, type, and vendor affected, to see which factors contribute to vulnerabilities being incorporated into malware and exploited in the wild. For this year’s report, NopSec invited Recorded Future to contribute their unique insights into how geopolitics affect government run vulnerability databases.
