In Charles Dickens’s classic book, A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge hates Christmas. Whenever someone wishes him “Merry Christmas,” he responds by saying, “Bah! Humbug!” But after a visit by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, Scrooge realizes that a selfish life is a wasted life. This is a great reminder to make the most of the present.
