Bob Hopton was famously the programmer who brought Les Ross back to Birmingham to front what became its defining breakfast show. Bob was a pioneer in the early days of UK commercial radio, when the industry was full of real characters. He launched Radio Tees in 1975 after a spell at the BBC.
