Cults, Fundamentalism, and Religious Fanaticism / Noriko's Dinner Table (2005)

This week Mike and Lara tackle another patron’s choice with Noriko’s Dinner Table. This early 2000s Japanese horror film is a master class in psychological horror as it explores two young sisters experiencing loneliness after getting pulled into a cult. Patron Holly joins us to talk about why she chose this movie and how much it impacted her as a young adult. For our mental health discussion we examine how cults and fundamental groups lure unsuspecting persons and prey on the lonely and vulnerable.
