This is our weekly talk about how you can succeed with a kidney diet brought to you by Renaldiethq.com, a website whose mission is to be the most valued resource on kidney disease that people can use to improve their health. Hey there. It's Mathea again with Renaldiethq.com, and I did a live earlier today, but it's not showing up on the timeline, so I thought I'd redo it because I had a really cool tip today that I really wanted to share. So, the one thing I wanted to ask is that you share a dessert that you're interested in me adjusting and using with my Zestify Your Diet group of YouTube channel. It's probably going to be a little quicker because I kind of elaborate a lot this morning. And anyway, so I was out yesterday traveling and I got caught up and didn't realize that I didn't bring my lunch and I didn't eat. And all of a sudden it was 02:00, and I felt really hungry. So I wanted to stop. And I went to the 7/11 locally, which is just like a convenience store. And I went in there and then I was going to get a slice of pizza because I just really wanted something quick. And I walked in and I saw these little containers of, like, this little lunch box containers. As you can see, it's got like four little slots. And I have a picture of what was actually in this, what I ate. But this one was the ham one. So, in this it had carrots, cheese, ham, crackers, and then one little sweet thing. So, I looked at that and I was like, that is so awesome. And I can have a healthy meal. And it inspired me to talk to you about it because you can buy, like, little containers. I'll put a post, I'll put a link to one in the comments. You might these little containers and take them with you. And guess what you can do as someone with kidney disease, then you have 100% control over what goes in here. So with pre dialysis kidney disease, you aim for usually about 20 to 21 grams of protein per meal. And so 1oz of meat or cheese or one egg has 7 grams of protein. So, in one of these little things, if you like hardboiled eggs, you could pop in a hardboiled egg, and then you could pop in a couple ounces of deli meat. Or you could do, like, an ounce of cheese and a couple ounces of deli meat. So in each one. And the best part is it's not like a sandwich. It's not like getting all mixed together and soggy and you don't have to even put any condiments. So you save some calories there. So, and then another one you put, like, some crackers, low sodium crackers and another one you can put carrots or you can put grapes or whatever kind of fruit, strawberries that you want to have. And you've got yourself a little snack meal and buy yourself a lunch box, which I can put a link to some lunch boxes. Put a little freezer pack in there and just carry it with you. And that way you have it and you're not worried about going through McDonald's getting potatoes, getting all that extra stuff or having to get something really made special. So, I'm going to pop in a link to these and I just think that it's an awesome way to make yourself a healthy meal because you ...
