Dr. Mathis is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He holds a PhD. in New Testament and currently serves as a professor at North Greenville University, where he teaches Christian studies. He also serves as a lay elder at The Church at Cherrydale in Greenville, SC. A few years back, Dr. Mathis co-authored the book, Seven Arrows: aiming bible readers in the right direction. This simple approach of studying the Bible has been a gift to student ministry and the Church around the world.
